What is Pillar 2?

Known as the Occupational Pension, the second pillar of the Swiss Pension System is mandatory for employees and voluntary for the self-employed.

This is a funded pension plan paid into an investment foundation, typically created by an employer for their staff.  The funds you accumulate through the second pillar contributions can be transferred to a personal vested benefit account when you are, either voluntarily or forcefully, not employed. This allows your accumulated pension capital to continue to grow even when your contributions stop.

We can advise you on how to manage this particular pension fund wisely. In certain circumstances you are able to access this capital prior to retirement, however It is important to make sure you know the impact of such decisions. Our experts can map out every outcome for you in a detailed, tailored manner.
